Fertilization Report

So we have seven eggs that fertilized! I hope they continue to thrive. The doctor said this time around that my husband's sperm was much worse quality than last time, and that he should see a urologist. GREAT.

We did ICSI though, so hopefully the sperm they used were good. Keep growing, little ones! I'm going to be a nervous wreck for the next two days until we hear about how many we have left. Le sigh.

  1. Seven fertilized eggs is great! Congratulations!

I know what you mean about worrying to hear how many you'll have left. I did many obsessive google searches on the topic when we went through this recently. (We started out with 13 fertilized and ended up with 6 blastocysts, 2 to transfer and 4 to freeze.)

    Good luck!

PS. I am here from Cycle Sista. We had our transfer for an FET on Monday.

  3. That's fantastic news! How did you get on with your embryos? What was the final total? I hope they all continued to grow. Did you end up retrieving any more after the first retrieval (you said there may be more maturing).

Best of luck - looking forward to hearing your update.
